Kiriya states that he was called to the crime scene by Kanemura's friend and proclaims his innocence. Conan asks Takagi to investigate Norizuki and learns that Norizuki's girlfriend, Mitsu, was a victim of their con artist group, which led to her death. Ran manages to stop Norizuki from killing Takeshi Motegi, Mitsu's con artist, and the police arrive. Regarding the previous crime, Conan reveals that Norizuki got off the train 15 minutes late, according to the exit time on his smart card.
