Banba proclaims his innocence and reveals that the likely culprit is Tooru Amuro, their waiter who had secretly met with Kamon. Tooru explains that he was hired by Kamon to investigate Banba and see if he was having an affair; to support his alibi, Amuro reveals that Banba also hired a detective to follow Kamon for the same reasons.
